About Doula Equity Project

The Doula Equity Project (DEP) is a collective based in Kentucky dedicated to advocating for equitable pay and doula services. Our mission is to support doulas by providing education, mentorship, and professional resources, empowering them to thrive as healthcare experts and community leaders. DEP offers a combination of services including doula support, prenatal education, mentorship, and advocacy for equitable pay and services for doulas in Kentucky. Our primary target audience includes doulas, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and community members interested in advocating for equitable pay and support for doulas in Kentucky. While our focus is local for now, we aim to establish a model that could inspire similar initiatives in other states in the future.
